It's absolutely clear that all of the HCRC staff leading sessions are at the top of their game with Slate expertise. With that said, some folks were better teachers/facilitators than others. Very early on in my new role at Carleton, I attended a Slate-hosted webinar featuring Emma's work in Slate at Creighton. (I think she presented with someone else, but I can't remember for sure.) In her presentation, Emma's wisdom, creativity, and enthusiasm shined brightly. Her presence was a huge boost in my own confidence as a new Slate captain, and helped shape my own goals as a member of the Slate user community. Like Emma did for me that day, I want to be someone who empowers other people to feel great about using Slate.
